TrustBank Annual Shareholders’ Meeting

The Annual Shareholders’ meeting of Rich Land Bancorp, Inc. and its wholly owned subsidiary, TrustBank, was held on Monday April 16, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. Bruce Runyon, President and Chief Executive Officer of TrustBank, reported that the total assets at December 31, 2006 were $142,475,000 – representing an 8.20% increase in the 12 month period. A review of the current state of the company was provided detailing the recent strategies of accomplishing TrustBank’s vision of : “Providing Premier Financial Products with Superior Service”.
The following were elected to the Board of Directors: Martin W. Atwood, Dan G. Eagleson, C.L. Glover, Jr., Robert J. Glovitz , John S. Kermicle, Greg T. Kuenstler, Bruce A, Runyon, Steve L. Schonert, and Edward E. Shake, Michael J. Thomas and Wilfred J. Cross, Advisory Director.
The Directors appointed the following officers at the Organizational Meeting: Chairman of the Board, C.L. Glover, Jr.; President and CEO, Bruce A. TrustBank has had a very successful year in 2006. On May 16, TrustBank announced the completion of its acquisition of a branch in Tempe, Arizona.
In June, TrustBank was honored to receive the Olney Daily Mail’s People’s Choice Awards as Best Bank in Richland County and Best Internet Provider.
TrustBank is the only bank in the state of Illinois with three individuals holding the designation of Certified Community Lender (CCL). This designation professionalizes the position of a community bank lender, by establishing a standard of knowledge in the field. Candidates must have three or more years of lending experience and pass a six-hour exam to be awarded this classification. TrustBank is proud to have 3 lenders, Deborah Mitchell, Larry Volk, and Keith Schonert who have successfully earned this designation. We are honored to have employees of this caliber working with our customer base at TrustBank.
During 2006, the Board of Directors completed a merger that allows the bank to operate as a Subchapter S corporation. This tax strategy implements the Board’s approach to provide for high level of operating performance. The Subchapter S election is effective for the 2007 operating year.
TrustBank was pleased once again to be recognized as 2007 Business of the Year by the Olney Daily Mail at the annual Chamber Banquet held on March 15, 2007. This award was presented to the employees for their involvement and dedication to our community as well as their dedication to a high level of customer service. |
