Sumx Provides Online Banking Services to TrustBank
(June 7, 2000)
- Unique features and check imaging available to bank’s online
customers - DALLAS,
June 7, 2000 – Sumx Inc., an in-house electronic banking solutions
provider, announced that TrustBank, a $125 million asset bank based
in Olney, Ill., has licensed and successfully implemented SumxNet,
Sumx’ customizable in-house Internet banking system, to offer
Internet banking services to its online customers. Sumx announced
the implementation at the FutureBank* community banking products
and services expo in Dallas.
SumxNet enables
TrustBank customers to view cleared checks, pay monthly bills, reorder
checks, make stop payment requests, view account details and running
balances, transfer money between accounts, and download transactions
to financial management software over the Internet.
TrustBank is
utilizing SumxNet to offer its customers two unique online banking
features, Account Watchdogs and Personal Accountant. Account Watchdogs
electronically monitor customers’ account balances and can
be preset to notify customers when a certain check clears or if
balances fall below or rise above a specified amount. Personal Accountant
enables customers to organize their finances by tracking income
and expense totals directly through an online account.
"SumxNet was a perfect fit for TrustBank because it is designed
to operate well with our Phoenix International core accounting system,"
said Janice Ellis, vice president and COO of TrustBank. "In
addition, we wanted to provide innovative features like Account
Watchdogs and Personal Accountant, as well as check imaging, to
our online customers, which Sumx’ system enables us to do.
Also important is that Sumx understands what we are trying to accomplish
at TrustBank. I believe that both TrustBank and Sumx share a common
vision of utilizing technology to improve banking services, and
that our shared commitment will bring success."
"Each
of our bank customers has individual needs and preferences in the
design and functionality of their online banking systems and TrustBank
was no different," said Bazile Lanneau, Jr., President and
CEO of Sumx. "There were specific features and details that
TrustBank wanted for their online customers and SumxNet enabled
them to offer those. TrustBank is dedicated to the use of innovative
technology to provide excellent service to their customers and that
is reflected in their online banking services."
