TrustBank
is proud to have been a Gold Sponsor for the 2011 American
Cancer
Society Walk & Roll. The May 21st event raised over $75,000 to be
used in the battle against cancer.
Approximately
21 teams participated in the annual event. TrustBank sold hot
dogs and nacho cheese to help raise money in honor of those who
are working together to find a cure for cancer, which is a disease
that kills approximately 555,500 Americans each year. (Courtesy

According
to the "Annual Report to the Nation on the Status of Cancer,
1973-1998, Featuring Cancers with Recent Increasing Trends"
the rate of new cancer cases reported as well as deaths from cancer,
declined an average of 1.1% per year between 1992 and 1998. However,
some kinds of cancer occurrences are still increasing. (Courtesy
