When the balance in your checking account exceeds a predetermined target amount set by you and a PrimeSweep Representative, the excess money will sweep to a dividend earning money market mutual fund. Likewise, if the balance in your checking account falls below the target amount, cash will sweep from the money market mutual fund into your checking account. PrimeSweep provides you with the advantage of enabling you to write checks based upon your combined money market mutual fund balance and your checking account target balance.
There is no limit on how much money can be swept into the money market mutual fund account aside from your target balance (sweep amounts will be in $5,000 increments). Interest compounds monthly and is reinvested monthly into your PrimeSweep account. Sweeps can be conducted as frequently as daily.
